Former NASA contractor Michael Laine ' gives the following as his recipe for a successful Kickstarter campaign:
1. Map out a careful schedule.
2. Do your homework.
3. Pick the minimum threshold.
4. Build a community and engage.
5. Be realistic. The next step for Laine is to acquire $3 million for a one-year feasibility study to build an elevator on the moon.
