Canadian and U.S. lobby groups forge crowdfunding alliance
Description ICC was formed as an offshoot from the technology industry groups CATA and i-CANADA to create a more cohesive lobbying effort in support of legalizing equity crowdfunding in Canada. ICC's and CATA's lobbying efforts for that cause include an online petition and a campaign to write letters to every provincially elected politician in Canada asking for support to make equity crowdfunding legal, something that requires the amendment of securities laws in each province.Today, ICC announced that they're formally partnering with the U.S.-based Crowdfunding Professionals Association (CfPA).
