Creator of idoStand iPhone Case is Making his American Dream a Reality
The American Dream motivates industrial designer of new iPhone stand.

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) July 20, 2012 Allan Ospina, creator of the new idoStand case for the iPhone, is proof the American Dream is alive and well. Taking advantage of the new opportunities for launching a product through crowdfunding, he is currently raising funds for his product on the popular Kickstarter website. The American Dream is something that is easily dreamed about, but not as easily achieved. For many immigrants, the American Dream is a powerful motivator. According to the book The Epic of America, written by James Adams in 1931, the American Dream is defined as: "that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement. It is not a dream of motor cars and high wages merely, but a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to attain to the fullest stature of which they are innately capable,

and be recognized by others for what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position." Ospina, a native of Bogota, Colombia and resident of Miami, FL, came to the United States when he was only 18 years old. He left his family behind to continue his career as an industrial designer at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where he graduated with honors. “I'm proud to be part of this great nation that has conceived some of the greatest inventions,” said Ospina. “I want to contribute with my designs and inventions and generate employment.” Ospina became an industrial designer and has created his first project, idoStand.The idoStand is a case for the iPhone with a built-in stand. Currently, Ospina is using the popular crowdfunding website Kickstarter to raise funding for his project. The campaign has a little over a week left and is at 50% of Ospina’s $20,000 goal. Backers of the project will be rewarded with one of the first pre-market idoStands. The campaign is also a great opportunity to support a talented designer. “I overcame much diversity to get where I am today, and I believe I am living the American Dream,” said Ospina. “Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do anything—follow your dreams and you can accomplish anything.”
