START.ac – which launched on May 15 – announces its first group of projects to enter Fundraising.
The group includes:
-Baby Dot: a breast milk “spoiler alert” label – a must-have for nursing moms;
-UnMundane Arts: a New England community education center reviving the home arts;
-ISRT: In-Situ Activation Radiation Therapy: a ground breaking cancer treatment;
-Angolpalanta Montessori Kindergarten (Hungary): a non-profit school offering an enriched curriculum;
-Blank Canvas Tour: an inspiring multi-media chronicle of adventurers;
-Garden Swing (Croatia): a grassroots carpentry shop startup by 3 unemployed carpenters; and,
-Resmosaic: helps job seekers stand out by documenting their accomplishments.
START.ac CEO and Founder, Rod Turner (Ashton Tate, Symantec – SYMC / Norton, ArtSlant), confirms that this initial group of projects reflects his vision for START.ac. “These projects are very different from each other in duration, amount being raised and concept. We expect that successfully CrowdFunded startups will generate many jobs in the coming years.”
