Present Day Media, a multimedia and technology company, just launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund development of a website codenamed FileProducer. Whereas sites like Facebook and Twitter use the internet to improve the way people keep in touch with each other, FileProducer envisions harnessing the internet to enhance the way people work together.

FileProducer is a web site which would allow users to request, sell, and donate customized files created by/for other users, all within a single interface

“Growing up as a freelance multimedia producer, I learned pretty quickly that the existing methods for finding work were inadequate at best”,stated Josh Hanchar, founder of Present Day Media.

He added,“Efficiency,objectivity,and fun are all lacking in today’s freelancing sites.This isn’t the ‘90s. We’re not talking about a glorified Craigslist.Taking old business models and pasting them onto the internet is far from the best way to handle something as intricate as production in the digital age.”
