Hypebot's Clyde Smith Launches Crowdfunding For Musicians Blog
During my time at Hypebot I've written a number of posts about crowdfunding music and recently decided to focus more of my own time on the topic as well. In fact, I've not only launched a blog called Crowdfunding For Musicians but am treating it as the basis for an eventual book about crowdfunding music. However I'll also continue to write about crowdfunding at Hypebot as part of my mix of posts focused on music tech and the DIY music business. Crowdfunding For Musicians will focus on music crowdfunding news and tips for crowdfunding campaigns. Occasionally I will include news about music-related companies that are running campaigns but the primary focus will be crowdfunding campaigns by musicians. I'm motivated in part by the fact that crowdfunding is on the rise and should get an additional boost when equity crowdfunding becomes legal in the States. But I'm also motivated by the fact that crowdfunding provides a radically new way to raise funds, one that empowers DIY'ers and the indie music sector. Having useful information in one place that's regularly updated will be one way that I can contribute to these developments. The long term goal is to use the posts at Crowdfunding For Musicians as the basis for a book about music crowdfunding.

Description Crowdfunding For Musicians will focus on music crowdfunding news and tips for crowdfunding campaigns. Occasionally Clyde Smith will include news about music-related companies that are running campaigns but the primary focus will be crowdfunding campaigns by musicians.
