The Brooklyn Art Library in New York City isn’t just your ordinary library. It’s also home to a large and growing collection consisting of sketchbooks from everyday artists. The Sketchbook Project allows anyone to fill a 32-page notebook with doodles, sketches, and content. Currently, the library has collected over 12,500 sketchbooks from 130 countries. In the upcoming months, it hopes to add over 7,500 more books through its 14-city world tour.
