Search for the Next “Levi’s Girl” Kicks Off on Facebook

document Crowd Creativity, Distributed Knowledge, Tools
Summary Levi's turns to Facebook and Twitter once again to search for the next online face and voice of Levi’s womenswear, a.k.a “Levi’s Girl.” Extended to the UK and the US, interested individuals are asked to submit videos detailing why they should be considered as a "Levi's Girl". At the same time, the contest also involves engaging with Levi’s fan base on Facebook and Twitter on a day-to-day basis.
Description Since the contest allows the contestants to mobilize their personal network, Levi's gets to do two things: win many more Facebook “Likes” and to the fans give equal chances in being part of the selection process.

If you think you deserve this opportunity, then submit your videos via the retailer’s Facebook Page by February 2. The winner will be announced on March 7 and receive a six-month paid position at Levi’s San Francisco headquarters to work alongside the more permanently situated “Levi’s Guy.”

That's interesting...I thought this was a contest to find a spokeperson but it seems like they're actually using this competition to fill a job position.
