Jocelyn Bain Hogg is collaborating with artist Paul Davis and designer Henrietta Molinaro to produce Tired of London, Tired of Life, a new book about London.
"Tired of Life gets under the skin of the real London," says Bain Hogg. "It celebrates the vibrant cultural mix of the world's favourite city, but also depicts the realities behind its glamorous façade and corroborates the double-edged connotation of Samuel Johnson's statement about the city. For all the city's pleasures, there is a substantial minority who are forever tired of London life." Claimed to be one of the first original, visual books for adults to appear about London since Lord Snowdon's London in 1958, Tired of Life brings together the three artists to offer a multi-faceted, accessible and original depiction of the city. The artists have turned to crowd-funding platform Emphas.is to raised the $14,000 necessary for the production of the book.
