Starburns Industries, an animation studio known for groundbreaking stop motion animation work, has successfully raised over $400,000 for an upcoming animated film project using the crowd-sourced funding site, Kickstarter.
BURBANK, CA (PRWEB) September 11, 2012 -- Starburns Industries, an animation studio known for groundbreaking stop motion animation work, has successfully raised over $400,000 for an upcoming animated film project using the crowd-sourced funding site, Kickstarter. The exact amount of $406, 237 makes Anomalisa the most funded film project in Kickstarter history. Starburns Industries posted a Kickstarter page on July 10, along with an enticing, animated video showcasing recent company projects including the animated holiday special for NBC’s Community and several episode snippets from the second season of Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Both stop motion animation projects, along with the upcoming Moral Orel origins special, Beforel Orel, which airs November 19th on Adult Swim, were produced entirely at the company’s 16,000 square foot headquarters in Burbank. "We hope that this will set a precedent with other small studios to, not only independently produce projects without the interference of meddling, multimillion dollar conglomerates, but also to step in and help creators keep their visions pure."
