Burger prices vary from country to country, but when you put these prices together with collaborative input you get statistical data and information in months that would otherwise take years to gather. That is what the experiment with the price of the Big Mac yielded. Despite the fact that not many people responded to the challenge, the few that did have shown just how the power of collective input will lead the future in ground breaking discoveries--including the price of a Big Mac!
A superficial glance at the whole idea behind crowdsourcing the price of the Big Mac across different countries would reveal somewhat a childish if not futile use of time. However, a closer look will reveal that collective contributions are paving the way for research and that there is absolutely no need to wait years to gather useful information.
