Today, eCommerce retailers face intense online competition. Some of the smartest global retailers are harnessing specialist crowds to solve some of their toughest problems and out-compete the competition. You can learn about how they're doing it in an exclusive webinar from Crowdsourcing.org and Serv.io this Thursday at 11 a.m. Pacific. Here's a little preview:
Crowdsourcing.org founder Carl Esposti and Servio's Sue Ellen Speight, an expert on using web content to reach new customers and how to build and defend high organic rankings, will host the session.
Carl Esposti will briefly cover the myriad ways crowdsourcing is being used within the enterprise and provide a snapshot of the enterprise crowdsourcing industry, which was growing at a compound annual growth rate in 2011 of nearly 75% - accelerating from a growth rate of just over 50% in 2010 compared with 2011. He'll also pull back the curtain to reveal who makes up these growing crowds - for example, the majority of crowdsourcing workers are 18-40 years old, well educated, with almost 60% living in developed countries.
The heart of the webinar will dive deep into how skilled crowds can be integrated into an online retail operation.
Sue Ellen Speight of Servio will share a few case studies, including how Target turned to the crowd to complete a major project that could have taken years to finish in-house. Instead, all tasks were completed in three months at a significant savings and without demanding more than a few hours of time from Target staff.
After Esposti and Speight's presentations, the webinar will be rounded off with some time for questions and answers from attendees.
