The JOBS Act – the legislature that legalizes equity-based crowdfunding – passed the Congress, got President Obama’s approval, and is currently being shaped by the SEC. Equity-based crowdfunding will allow people with creative and interesting projects to not only raise capital, but also test the market for their products. Access to capital is especially hard to come by during and in the aftermath of economic downturns, like the one from which the U.S. is currently recovering. But how will the JOBS Act affect the jobs market?
