At last check the Pebble Smartwatch has rounded up over $8 million on Kickstarter with two weeks left to go in the campaign. That's a figure that shatters all previous crowdfunding records on Kickstarter and most other platforms.
Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky will be sharing their success story at the next Crowdfunding & Cocktails Event in Palo Alto on May 9th. The gathering is part of the SoHo Loft series of Capital Creation and Crowdfunding events. (You can see a little of Crowdsourcing.org's coverage of the last Crowdfunding and Cocktails event in Manhattan here.)
Details including the full list of speakers, location and registration links for the Palo Alto gathering can be found on the EventBrite page. I hear there's only a few tickets left...
Another first for the SoHo Loft series -- the entire Capital REformation & Crowdfunding Conference, which will be held the day after the Crowdfunding and Cocktails event on May 10th in San Francisco -- will be webcast from 9 am to 6pm PDT.
TSL will provide a live video broadcast of the entire program including each presentation and panel session as well as multiple speaker interviews during networking breaks. Click here for the detailed agenda and the impressive lineup of speakers.
The broadcast can be accessed by going to http://www.crowdfundingconference.net/. A recording of the webcast will also be made available after the live event. To submit questions for panelists and speakers in advance of event, email questions@thesoholoft.com.
