After artist, engineer and TED Fellow Salvatore Iaconesi was diagnosed with brain cancer, he turned to crowdsourcing to find a cure, launching an open source initiative earlier this week. By ‘cure,’ Iaconesi is looking for more than just a way to remove the tumor from his brain. He uploaded a video to YouTube asking for his friends, fans, and complete strangers to suggest ways to heal not only his body, but also his spirit.
