Quite ironic actually, that we live in a capitalistic free market system where competitiveness is valued above all and is claimed to be able to solve all problems in the world, while the investment system for upcoming businesses is in fact highly monopolized and controlled by a few organizations and individuals. It's is therefore absolutely necessary to increase competitiveness in the investment system. Crowdfunding is a tool that enables everyone, the full 100% of the population, to become involved in the economy of tomorrow. Its an investment system that is carried by the same community from which the ideas come from in the first place. As the crowdfunding market moves forward it will gradually put pressure on the investment system, increase its competitiveness and put a serious investment alternative for entrepreneurs.

Last week, Newsweek published an article titled The Real Minimum Wage. The results "showed" that Americans are the ones willing to accept the lowest possible salary for working on a task. The conclusion of the article? Americans are more desperate than anyone else in the world. What is the key problem of this study? There are many more US-based workers on Mechanical Turk compared to other nationalities. So, if you have a handful of workers from other countries, and hundreds of workers from the US, you are guaranteed to find more extreme findings for the US. Why? To put it simply, you are searching harder within the US to find small values, compared to the effort placed on other countries.
