I am a semi-retired mother of two and grandmother of 3 children. I raised my 2 children on my own after my husband passed away in 1997. I opened my home to foster children for 5 years, I volunteered in my church and community and I now want to do something for me. I took early retirement in 2008 due to stress related health problems, but I had to find other work because my pension payment couldn't support me.
I decided to return to school and plan to pursue a degree in music; I've already enrolled and start classes in 2 weeks. I also have begun forming my own music publishing company.
Going to school means I'll have to cut my work hours a bit and that's going to cause a hardship. I need to find funding for school and my business....any suggestions? I am unable to get bank financing.
I am already a singer/songwriter and believe that I can be successful if I'm able to overcome the challenges I face going forward.
