I've recently been mulling over why we don't have an institution akin to a lending library for both physical and digital games and gaming equipment. The idea, as I see it is for the electronic games to be distributed through some Steam-like platform - and for the physical games (such as boardgames / tabletop games/ card games/ etc) to be loaned out from the physical branch of such an institution. There would also be consoles / computers set up around the space for in-person multi-player gaming experiences. Just throwing this idea out there to see what y'all think and to benefit from your expertise and knowledge since I'm more an idea person / coder than anything else and I want as much analysis of this as possible - consider it my little contribution to making entertainment accessible while maintaining copyright respect.
