This project started in July 2005 and is a collaborative effort to create a powerful, free database about architecture, engineering, design.

There are so many different projects that are never heard about as the architectural press does not have the full breadth and means to cover them. Archipedia is interested in mapping both a testament to the architectural canon and what may be considered minor yet interesting "fringe" constructions - anything from a barn, projects for gate houses, or an innovation in your home town you love to look at.

archipedia should serve as a straightforward and useful reference tool
for both architectural practitioners and architecture lovers, but most importantly it shall remain free,forever!
