Description
This session will address the challenges and benefits of launching digital crowdsourcing projects, and participants will discuss ways that sharing in this public history work serves their institutions and possibly change the ways that staff interact with their public. Other topics addressed may include workflow and platforms, unanticipated benefits, improving access to and visibility of sources for researchers, fostering stewardship of collections and institutions through recruiting online volunteers, and challenges of managing volunteers.
